Good Eats!

Last week a few of us got together to fill our bellies with some good food. While it doesn't look like a lot of food, it took a fair amount of time and counter space to prepare. We started with the delicious salad sporting tomato wedges, orange slices, and pinches of various herbs. The main course was stuffed mushrooms with three sides: baguette slices dipped in olive oil, grilled asparagus and grilled zucchini. I'll admit to helping myself to seconds on both the asparagus and zucchini, which is something I thought I'd never do.

Dinner was followed up with a rather creative desert. Toasted baguette slices were topped with gorgonzola (a type of cheese I'd never heard of before). Figs were sliced in half, grilled, and then had some kind of fancy honey dripped over them. We then used a spoon to scrape the insides out of the figs and smothered it on top of the baguette slices. It was a very interesting (and pleasant) taste!

Very interesting menu. Can't say there are more than 2 things you mentioned that I would even eat! Glad it works for someone! :-)
