Igauz Falls
Our first view of the falls. These were the baby brothers to the big guys above.
This doesn't do justice to the falls. There are about 250-275 separate falls depending on the water flow. They are about 2 1/2 miles wide. They are beyond spectacular.
Butterflies were in abundance. There were some that looked like they had the number 8 on their wings. You could see it when it was closed. The native people here said that you would have a lucky day if one landed on you. Jim had one land on him. It was very common to have a butterfly land on you. They seemed to like licking up the sweat!!!!
The temperature was about 95 degrees F and the humidity about the same. Made for bad hair! However, it made for a beautiful jungle. We saw a coatimundi several times. Once we saw a whole family playing right next to the trail where people were walking. Tried to get a picture but they were too fast and busy playing.
Plane unloading in Iguazu Falls. Note the stairs we had to go down. They were shaky and steep. Don't know how some of the older passengers made it down them.
