Day 8 - we saw a LOT!!

This is part of an old Mosque. It didn't seem to be in use. We peaked into some of the windows of room of the ground floor and it looked like no one had been there for many years.

The is one view of the waterfront of Tiberius (just in front of our hotel). This is a picturesque town. We saw a lot of interesting things.

This is the boat we went on for our night time boat ride. It wasn't much to look at but it was definitely sturdy.

This picture was taken at a place called "Tagba". It is believed to be where Peter was out fishing and saw the resurrected Christ.

This is me with my feet in the Sea of Galilee.

We found out that McDonald's is even in Israel. However, many Jews will not eat there because it isn't kosher. To be kosher, you can't have dairy products mingle with meat products which is a problem when you serve cheeseburgers.

I thought this particular store near Jerusalem (in the city of Cana - miracle of the water to wine) was interesting.

Nazareth - now a very large city. The church with the dark grey dome is about where the original village of Nazareth was located. Unlike many other cities which where built on the tops of hills, Nazareth was down in a little valley (high on the hill) because that's where the water was.
