What you can do with Gingerbread

The other day we were are Joanne's and picked up some gingerbread Christmas Tree kits for the local grandkids. Sorry, no pictures, they took them home with them. But to get some practice Diana got a Christmas Train kit and made it. It turned out cute but way to complicated for kids. It's a good thing we got trees for them.







I went to pick up Grandma Fillmore for dinner on Sunday and this is what I saw in her lobby. A giant gingerbread castle with blinking lights. I had to get a picture when I took her back home.





The chef at the Wellington made this. He took it to the Festival of Trees no intending it for a bid item. But someone bid on it anyway and then turned around and donated it to Primary Medical Center. Primary Medical Center is preparing a place to display it and it the meantime it is back at the Wellington. It's quite a work of art.
